Extraordinary Italian Taste festival is celebrating all things Italian throughout Nov in a series of special dinners, workshops and tastings in Bangkok that will have you eating your way towards a massive food coma.

The event will be celebrated by Italian embassies in countries across the world simultaneously to promote and share Italian culture. This is the first year Thailand will take part, and organizers are pulling out all the stops.

The highlights of Bangkok's program include Italian fine dining at Dusit Thani College (20th-25th Nov), the grand opening of Piazza Italiana at River City Bangkok (Nov 24th) and a workshop on Italian taste at Chulalongkorn University (23rd Nov). Even Tops Supermarket is getting in on the action, offering special promotions on Italian products to help you discover the Italian chef you always knew you had inside.

The star of the month-long event is no doubt the Second Italian Cuisine Week from 20th-26th Nov, when 28 of Bangkok's top Italian restaurants will roll out special menus dedicated to the finest Italian produce and recipes with optional wine pairings.

The festival also branches out to include cultural events such as concerts by famous Italian musicians and a screening of Ricette d’Amore (24th Nov), an award-winning Italian film centered on the life of a chef.

Prices for each event vary, with a mix of free functions open to the public and exclusive, invitation-only dinners. Find the full schedule and prices at  www.italianfestivalthailand.com/
