It was business as usual at the top of the TPL this week as Buriram continued their imperious unbeaten run after the latest weekend of action. Their relatively straight forward 1-0 home win over TOT saw them move back into top spot, ahead of Chonburi who had beaten Chiang Rai United 1-0 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, BEC shrugged off back to back defeats to put in an impressive performance at the Thepsadit Stadium. They comfortably beat newly promoted Khon Khaen FC 3-1 win to remain in third place, all be it six points behind Buriram who are really looking like it’s their title to lose.

Aside from the Fire Dragons free scoring it was definitely a case of a mini goal drought for most Bangkok teams this weekend. The games between Muangthong (who rested players ahead of their midweek AFC Champions game) and Sri Racha FC, Thai Port and Navy and the derby game between Army and Insee Police all ending goalless. Even though Bangkok Glass did manage to score they could also only muster a draw 1-1 away to SCG Samut Songkhram.
