Quirky Japanese joint Daikanyama is certainly cozy and also pretty kawaii with a bar running down one side and a Japanese fusion restaurant down the other. Like most Japanese restaurants, portions are small and meant to be shared. Try items like tako wasabi (fresh octopus served with wasabi mustard), hotatei garlic yahii (pan friend scallops with garlic and cheese) and the restaurant's piece de resistance, salmon truffle oil tataki (cooked salmon laid on a bed of fluffy white mashed potatoes and drizzled with truffle oil and crispy seaweed sprinkles). Delicious.
